Zambarti

Last Updated: 2/2/2024

Name: Zambarti

Humanoid: Yes

Classification: Near-Human

Homeworld: Unknown

Coloration: Lavender and Gray

Biology: The Zambarti were a near-Human race who, upon closer inspection, actually had quite a few differences from their baseline Human counterparts. They had the same general height as Humans, with a similar frame, being bipedal with two arms and two legs, each of their appendages apparently having five digits. Their visible musculature, facial structure, and hair placements were also fairly similar, although that’s where the shared traits end. Zambarti were said to have lavender skin, while their hair was all a deep slate gray in coloration. They also had much broader chests and torsos than Humans, being much heavier on average as well.

Their heads were stated to be abnormally large, with wide facial features, including what were described as sunken, saucer-shaped eyes. Their ears were also large, pointed and shaped almost like small wings, and growing pinker than the rest of their bodies. Their hair also grew in a long, disheveled manner that has been described as taking on the appearance of a “bird’s nest.” They also had a unique organ configuration, including at least two hearts, although there were probably even more than that. Zambarti were a relatively naturally strong species, and they did have the capacity to clearly pronounce Galactic Basic Standard.

Lore: Presently nothing is known about the species as a whole as only one instance of them, crime boss Big Bunji, has ever been seen, relegated to a few random EU appearances. At the very least, we can glean from Bunji’s existence that the Zambarti had been discovered and introduced into the intergalactic landscape some time prior to the Galactic Civil War.

Continuity: The Zambarti only currently exist within Star Wars Legends.

Unexplored: With such an obscure and non-established species, we really can’t dive into specifics as far as questions that I like to pose go. Instead, I’ll just list off the usual general worldbuilding traits that, if expanded upon, would help us better understand and characterize the Zambarti as a whole. These concepts include the Zambarti’s origins, evolution, history, homeworld, environments, architecture, arts, developments, technologies, civilizations, society, culture, government, politics, economy, exports, alliances, philosophies, religions, traditions, practices, habits, diets, languages, corporations, conflicts, etc.

Additional Notes: This is a weird one as the only illustration we have of them really does not match their written physical description, like at all. Sorry if you were confused, but I am too. Maybe, hopefully in Canon, we’ll see an iteration of the species implementing more of the unique visual ideas listed above as opposed to just looking like a large, apparently purple, Human. But until then, this is all we have to work with, so I guess do with this information what you will!
