Name: Dirconite
Humanoid: Yes
Classification: Near-Human
Homeworld: Unknown
Coloration: Tan
Biology: The Dirconites were a Near-Human species often mistaken for being simply Human. They possessed the same general height, build, and features, although there were some key differences as well. Dirconites had pale skin, solid black eyes, and pointed teeth. They also had the unique, almost supernatural ability to emit a hypersonic shriek that could temporarily paralyze most humanoid species. It is also believed that the Dirconites were a naturally rotund, borderline obese species (at least by normal Human standards), although that has yet to be the officially confirmed baseline for the species. Dirconites could easily pronounce Galactic Basic.
Lore: We quite literally know nothing about the Dirconites, as we’ve only seen one instance very sparsely a few times within Star Wars Legends. This means that we don’t even know their homeworld, or anything about the species as a whole, both in manner and design. Additionally, we know nothing of their extended lore, history, or even the greater intent for the species by Star Wars creators.
Legends/Canon: As mentioned above, the Dirconites are currently exclusive to Star Wars Legends.
Unexplored: If you couldn’t tell from what was stated throughout the rest of this article so far, almost every aspect of the Dirconites remains severely, if not completely, unexplored. So instead of asking the usual questions meant to help bring out the unique strengths and attributes of a species, I simply want to recommend the list of basic lore bits that every species NEEDS to be able to competently stand on their own. This list includes the exploring the likes of the Dirconites evolution, developmental history, anatomy and biology, architecture, significant historical events, alliances, integration into the greater galaxy, wars and conflicts, society, culture, economy and exports, homeworld and environment, technologies, religions and philosophies, habits, traditions and cultural practices, languages, and significance within the modern eras.
Additional Notes: Nothing much of note here aside from the fact that they’re an entire race of Banshees/Black Canaries. I would love some further illustrations to figure out what the average Dirconite looks like, but as it stands, we may be waiting an incredibly long time for this species to see any sort of canonical resurgence.
