DAY 606 UPDATE: As always, we should take into account the “pointed ears = Sephi-related” rule that was in effect in the EU for a while (already explained this further on a prior page)!
DAY 607 UPDATE: Forgot to update this post before it went live and didn’t feel like deleting and reposting, but the species did indeed appear in The Acolyte S1 E1, which aired a few days before I had scheduled this post to go up. They also posted an official pic of them on the starwars.com website, which I will include below!

DAY 608 UPDATE: The more I compare them, the more I do have to admit that they’re almost assuredly the same, which still doesn’t get us any closer to IDing the species unfortunately…

DAY 623 UPDATE: So we did receive some interesting revelations regarding this species as a regard to this post! First off, John Jackson Miller (@jjmfaraway) helped correct the “Creator” portion of the post, stating that the character was actually conceptualized by John Ostrander and Jan Duursema, but given the unique nature of the “Vector” crossover event that Karness Muur was heavily featured in, he ended up appearing in Miller and Hepburn’s KOTOR comic first. He also looked back through some of his old emails and realized they had seriously discussed the species simply being a Sephi, which definitely makes sense as any visual discrepancies could be explained away due to natural Dark Side corruption. Both he and I tagged Duursema, asking if she could 100% confirm that this remained the case all the way through, however, she has unfortunately not replied. So this is technically still unofficial info, something that couldn’t be posted definitively on a site like Wookieepedia, but I think it’s enough for me to safely label Muur as a tentative Sephi in my books!

DAY 626 UPDATE: I accidentally posted this species as “Canon: No” at first, but quickly corrected it after someone pointed it out. My apologies to those of you who saw that version of the tweet, but given their source, they are definitely a Canon species, simply a typo on my part while I was scheduling out a whole batch of various Canon and non-Canon species…

DAY 650 UPDATE: Two things I need to quickly note. Firstly, the wording of the “Notes” is a bit ambiguous, which I apologize for, however, the title “Founding Jedi” refers to one of the founders of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, who are still important, but are not associated with the actual founders of the Jedi Order (the Je’daii or their yet-to-be identified Canon equivalent) in any known way. Secondly, I’ve seen quite a few “theories” over the years regarding the idea of this potentially being a rather large member of Yoda’s species, however, this has always just been near-baseless speculation and ties back to a joke where this Jedi is compared to “Master Yogurt” from the Star Wars parody film “Spaceballs” (which I can’t even disagree with)!
