DAY 460 UPDATE: Paolo and Ethan commented on this one with some fun quips. Nothing substantial, but it does give me hope that we may see this design again!

DAY 475 UPDATE: Marrok made his animated debut in “Tales of the Empire,” though that only gave us another look at his armor pre-rust and literally nothing else, sadly. At least this opens yet another opportunity to learn more info regarding him supplementary media on starwars.com!

DAY 479 UPDATE: John Jackson Miller revealed that he never detailed Uburluh’s species in the script, and this design was wholly Bong Dazo’s design, who has sadly since passed. This doesn’t mean the species can never appear again, but it does mean we’ll never get any new insider insight regarding their inspirations or design process.

DAY 484 UPDATE: My apologies to anyone who saw the first two iterations of this post, I was not on my game when created it. I had originally listed this as a “three-eyed” species, instead of one, and also initially typed “No” in the Canon section by accident. Thankfully, some of my followers were quick to notice and I was able to fix the post before the incorrect ones got too much exposure!

DAY 487 UPDATE: It was pointed out to me by a few users that this is actually probably just a snail climbing up the wall and not a long-necked alien peeking around the corner with large, puffy, green shoulder pads. Doesn’t mean it’s not sentient, but I could have just put “snail” or “snail-like” species and it probably would have been a more apt description.
DAY 488 UPDATE: It is worth noting (as one of the images reveals) that the raiders speak the Noti language, which has some interesting lore implications. Given their shared size and features, I also make the assumption here that they are all on collective species, though that has technically not been revealed as of yet. Finally, many have theorized the Enoch is actually a member of this species as well, recruited by Thrawn for some currently unexplained reason. While I’m not currently onboard with that idea (not enough evidence to even be classified as a theory), we’ll just lump Enoch in with this post just in case they’re on to something.

DAY 489 UPDATE: Digital Artist Madi Hodges, who seemingly worked on Young Jedi Adventures, was incredibly helpful in tracking down some of the concept artists for various unidentified species in the show, including this one, which was designed by Casey “KC” Straka. Straka herself confirmed this and said she had never received confirmation that the species was ever featured in the show, so was glad to see it, though she could not yet share any of her concept art for them.

DAY 494 UPDATE: For reference, Ottegans are an artificially created genetic offshoot of the Ithorians who were know primarily for their singular mouth instead of the two mouth-like organs on the sides of Ithorian heads.
