DAY 352 UPDATES: Cavan Scott responded to the tag and confirmed that in the issue’s script, Anst Wozo was described as being an Inleshat, our first ever instance of this species in Canon and a classic callback to the 1977 Marvel run!

DAY 364 UPDATES: Jake Lunt Davies confirmed that this was a Luke D Fisher creation, which makes sense as he loves the sort of Human-like fleshy designs, although the Keredians came from the mind of Ivan Manzella (as seen below). This helps reinforce the idea that they are NOT the same species, coming from different creators, however I also have yet to find Fishers concept art that became Freedi (and I’m curious if it was made specifically for the show, or if it was recycled from a previous, presumably film-related project like a lot of the other species that first appeared in Andor).

DAY 365 UPDATES: Jamie Cosley confirmed that this was not based on any specific alien species, and instead is a non-Canon amalgamation of a number of species who appeared in The Mandalorian.

DAY 366 UPDATES: I would like to point out the similarities between that one particular image of Ame Llom and the Inquisitor from the Star Wars Visions episode “The Bandits of Golak,” and although that picture is actress Stacy Chergotis in seemingly strange lighting, it could still be intended to be the same as the majority of other species seen in this particular episode are familiar (although many also just seem to be assets lifted from other pre-existing Star Wars animated projects).

DAY 367 UPDATES: The quote in question is no longer accessible by normal means, however, I was able to grab a screenshot from the Wayback Machine. It is not in reference to this specific species, but any species with pointed ears. Taken as law by the fandom back when it was first posted, this quote has now been made null and void, yet still makes sense given the context of EU Sephi lore. This should be kept in mind for all unidentified pointy-eared species that originated in Star Wars Legends going forward!

DAY 375 UPDATES: Sadly, like the rest of the Pyloon’s Saloon aliens (aside from the one that was already identified), despite being featured in the 2024 Comprehensive Encyclopedia (which gave names to dozens of species), this bunch got a single collective blurb with no new information. Presumably it wasn’t ready to share yet, either being saved for another future source or possibly still not named as of yet.

DAY 377 UPDATES: JLD replied stating it’s very possible he was subconsciously inspired by Manzella’s design when creating the Jaluku, but also revealing that creating species with goggles (or masks) makes things easier on the sculptors and creature/costume departments!
As you’ll see below, this is one of a handful of live action species here that I created Wookieepedi articles for, where you may be able to find more pertinent information: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Unidentified_bald_species!

DAY 379 UPDATES: Decided to include the response I received from Tom Whalen confirming that he was the same as the contestant back in the day! I could not find any direct links between the account and the artwork, although the styles very similar and the last name is somewhat unique. I figured it was him but didn’t want to make any assumptions until I had 100% proof.

DAY 386 UPDATES: It was pointed out to me that this does somewhat resemble a member of the Gabdorin species, especially the animated version featured in Star Wars Resistance. It’s not a 1:1, but since it would have to be a custom model (unlike a lot of others seen in this episode), stylistic changes do need to be accounted for. Because the Keredians also had their first 3D animated appearance in The Bandits of Golak, we do know they were drawing from Disney-era films for some species designs, so this idea isn’t completely unfounded. Unfortunately, we may never know exactly whether this individual was intended to be new, a Gabdorin, or some other pre-existing species we just aren’t thinking of…

DAY 393 UPDATES: After Tetha Grig, who also has visible facial prosthetics, was confirmed to still be a Human, I became a lot less confident that Nari was a near-Human species, however, I am still holding out on the idea and will keep a close eye on his status until we finally receive confirmation one way or the other!

More recently, Nari was stated to be Human in the 2024 Comprehensive Encyclopedia, though that same guide identified five or six other obvious non-but-near-Humans as simply Human, so we know the source isn’t entirely reliable in this regard, meaning I’ll have to wait for further confirmation from a future source!

SPECIES: Chadra-Fan
DAY 396 UPDATES: Other members of the community were quick to point out the similarities between this individual and the Chadra-Fan species seen in the film, as this cover also features a lot of other species that you can tell were loose interpretations of cantina species including the Gotals, Siniteen, Aqualish, Abyssins, etc. I think that claim is more than believable, so I would consider it safe to assume that this is just a Chadra-Fan whose artists took some creative… liberties!
