Biology: Little is known about the Vobati biology, as they always wear protective gear covering their entire bodies. The stand only 1.3 to 1.5 meters tall, and based off of the placement of their hooded visors it is assumed they have oblong heads with eyes perched at the top. They had two legs, and two arms, with four-fingered hands, although that’s all of the anatomical info we have right now. Some theorize that they may be an offshoot from the common Jawa, but this has yet to be confirmed or denied.

Lore: Absolutely nothing is known about the Vobati society, nor of their home planet of Vobes. The first instance we have seen in the galaxy was an expert in forgery, so if that’s any indication of the greater race as a whole, then it is possible they are naturally criminalistic and thieving similar to what we’ve seen of the Patrolians.

Legends/Canon: Vobati only exist within Star Wars Canon.

Unexplored: The first thing that needs to be explored when creating a Vobati character is a more in-depth their species backstory. If you want to keep their biology veiled and mysterious, that is totally fine. But we at least need to know how the general Vobati acts, thinks, and functions. Knowing what their society, culture, and economy look like back on Vobes would be incredibly helpful as well. There’s still some groundwork that needs to be laid before you can start developing your own fleshed out Vobati. From there, it’s some pretty open ended lore that you can take in any direction you choose.

Additional Notes: There really isn’t enough current information to say whether the Vobati have the potential to be an interesting species (or make interesting characters) yet. So I suppose it all rests on your ability to expertly craft, write, and develop them in your own works!
