Coloration: Purple, Pink, and/or Blue

Biology: The Faust were short-statured humanoid beings standing no more than 1.5 meters tall on average, having a thin, bipedal frame with two arms and two legs (as well as the associated extremities). Faust had five-fingered hands, with elongated fingers and dark purple fingernails. Faust pigmentation was a much lighter purple or purple-pink, with mottled spots sometimes found on their head. They had long necks and elongated, hairless heads, with a wide ridge on the very top that extended back down to the back of their cranium. Their ears were large for their narrow heads, and their eyes were sometimes surrounded by circles of a darker coloration. Faust also possessed double eyelids, as well as distinctively gray or bright blue pupils. Additionally, the species had the capacity to speak Galactic Basic Standard.

Society: Next to nothing is know about the Faust society, aside from the fact that they had a disposition for rebelling. Individual Faust had allied themselves with both the CIS and later the Rebel Alliance in some capacity, and at least one was seen our and about in the galaxy during the High Republic era, meaning they had been discovered and introduced into the galaxy by then. It is worth noting that Adana was nestled within the galaxy’s “Deep Core,” making them one of only a handful of species to originate from that portion of the galaxy, and potentially one of the first species the Republic may have come across in it’s infancy.

Legends/Canon: The Faust did exist in Legends, however, all pre-existing information about them was established in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and thus was successfully transitioned into Star Wars Canon without losing any details.

Unexplored: There’s not a lot to go off at the moment in regards to the Faust history, society, civilization, and culture, so that’s where you’ll need to start. When were they first discovered? Did Adana ally themselves with the CIS during the Clone Wars, or did the majority of the species remain neutral? Did the baseline species have brilliant, advanced minds like Dr. Nuvo Vindi, or was he considered an outlier among their species? What was the driving factor behind Adana’s economy, and did they have any unique exports or resources that might have drawn the attention of the Galactic Empire? What might have drawn members to the Rebel Alliance outside of just a general sense of justice? And what were the majority of the species up to in the eras before or after, such as the Old Republic, High Republic, Cold War era, or beyond? Exploring these somewhat targeted questions, alongside other basic worldbuilding traits such as the species’ origins, history, evolution, homeworld environment(s), allyships, arts, architectures, philosophies, religions, traditions, habits, advancements, and more, will really help to establish the Faust among the franchise in a meaningful way!

Additional Notes: The Faust have a fairly unique and memorable design, and with the right setting, I think they have a lot of potential, especially if they were heavily associated with the Separatists AND Rebels. However, there are some key elements that they currently lack, so you’ll just have to map out all of the background information you need to make your own Faust character with some truly interesting groundwork!
